Jovan Živadinović Džipsii, one of the participants in the Roma Soul Food project, has released his second studio album, Jovan, under the production house Red Pill. 💿✨
Our colleagues, Maja Vasiljević and Biljana Leković, had the honor of attending the premiere listening session held on Saturday, February 28, at Ložionica, where the audience had the opportunity to hear several songs performed live for the first time.
The album delivers a truly contemporary dance-pop sound, infused with nostalgic references to the golden era of pop music. Featuring 18 tracks, it follows Džipsii’s birth and artistic coming-of-age, while evoking intimate moments such as his mother’s memory of the day he was born. Due to the thematic and musical coherence of the songs, the album can also be experienced as a conceptual whole.
The distinctive vibe and emotional depth of the entire release are shaped by Džipsii’s recognizable lyrical vocal and sensual tone.
